SCHOOL
There are educational
facilities available in the county to meet the needs of everyone from
the pre-schooler to the adult seeking further education. The students
are served by 14 high schools and 55 elementary and middle schools.
For those students requiring special education, classes are available
in the public system and in specialized schools.
HOUSES OF WORSHIP
Practically every faith is represented in the area.
RECREATION
The Somerset County Park Commission has established five parks, one
of which has a swimming pool; four excellent golf courses, two tennis
centers, a cultural center, a mountain preserve, and spectacular rose
and rock gardens.
CULTURAL FACILITIES
There is something for every
taste, ranging from the New Jersey Symphony to the Glenn Miller
Orchestra, and the London Ballet. The Performing Arts Center is a
"state-of-the-art" theater in every respect. Built in 1985, it
features an adjustable stage and computerized lighting and sound
systems.
